Hello everyone!
I just ran across this music clip. Does anyone remember it? It is a GREAT song!
Foreigner's Waiting For A Girl Like You. Listen to it.
Yes, it is Saturday night. And, I was just thinking how great it is to be positive and make the best of whatever life sends your way --good or bad. Disregard any thoughts on how impossible things may seem, just follow your heart's desire. Positive thinking is the key.

Happy Thursday to all! Some of you perhaps won't have to report for work tomorrow, and neither will I. Yes!!! I just found out this evening, that my firm will celebrate tomorrow as a holiday. Thank God!! This was the happiest surprise I've had all week.
This afternoon was picture perfect. I went out to a small park around work. I had lunch there, and worked on today's post while I listened to some tunes. My spot was exquisite. I was tucked away within tall trees and high shrubs. Quite lovely!
I had a moment of reflection there... It has been close to 4 years since the last time I went camping.
I can't wait for my upcoming mini vacations to arrive. I've confirmed 3 so far, but might squeeze a fourth one between the last weekend of April and the first weekend of August.
Tonight is a gorgeous night. The moon is in full romantic bloom. I could simply stare at it, all night long.
Okay, now let's talk platonic.
Platonic relationships... some say these are possible--like myself, then others claim these are in no way possible.
In my lifetime, I've had three platonic relationships with men. One still stands, the others relocated and eventually lost all communication. I miss them. We shared true friendship without ulterior motives or expectations.
What's your opinion on platonic relationships?
Quote of the Day:
Learn to be grateful of the gifts that you're given for one day you may loose these.

Wow, attempting to post yesterday was impossible since every time I tried to access the site it was down.
Anyhow, here's my planned post for TUESDAY, MARCH 26.
For those of you confused. I am trying to get back on schedule. I was posting the previous day's post in the early a.m. hours of the next day ;-)
A word on the fear of being alone.
What's so wrong with being alone? How can you consider sharing yourself with someone when you can't stand your own company? Is it a fear of the uncertainty of whether or not you will be permanently alone? Is it so wrong to be alone or does society dictate that every individual must be paired-off?
The fear of being alone steers some individuals into wrong choices. For instance, just picking someone as a mate even though that someone isn't quite their type. Remember: ego fears loneliness when the soul is debilitated.
Isn't it better to be alone than to be among bad company? That is, assuming that you are not your own bad company.
A method for enjoying yourself while solo is to have dates with yourself. Yes, have a date with yourself one evening and have fun at it. Try to impress yourself throughout the date just as you would go out of your way to impress someone else. Make it a point to discover yourself and what makes you appealing to others. It is all about getting your solo persona in-synch with your coupled persona.
Song clip for this post: Yes' Owner Of A Lonely Heart.

Like yourself, Embrace yourself, Love yourself.

What happens to goals as we grow old? Do we forget them, give up on them, or stop believing they are possible?
Whichever one may be, do keep in mind that being focused, stubborn and determined will aid you at meeting your goals. But you must never stop believing in your full potential. Will power is your greatest ally. Take advantage.

Wednesday, March 20, 2002 :::
So it's Tuesday night or more like Wednesday morning. Well, I just got home from visiting an old friend and chatting the night away like girls usually do. I had a nice time catching up.
Life is so swell when you take a stance. Self empowerment is the best nourishment for the soul. That's when you yell to the world, "Hit me with your best shot. I can handle anything you send my way."
Today's Quote:
Never settle for the path of least resistance. Accompanying song clip: Scandal's The Warrior.
Why is it that, if making a life altering decision is left to us, we coward away, procrastinate, etc. to the point where it becomes more difficult to execute. However, we are terrified of someone else altering our state of being.
If we can't execute and don't want someone to do it for us, then where does that leave us? Do the words: tied, locked, and pinned come to mind?
We need to have cojones once in a while, if not all the time, and take a stance and begin to execute changes. Fear won't get us anywhere.
Tonight, instead of having a green beer, I drank a green margarita. Some places were kicking tonight, then others weren't. I didn't even see a parade today. Oh well, maybe next year.
Today's Quote:
Felt pressures and confusions are indicative of wrong choices.

Long day today, but when isn't it?
Why do we feel we must control our destinies? Is that possible?
I grew up on the belief that I could control my destiny. Soon after reaching adulthood, I came to the crashing realization that such an endeavor was not possible. I mean, prior to my awakening, I was stricken with tensions, frustrations, and headaches, but after I accepted such impossibility, I felt such alleviation. Now I live my life as: "Que sera, sera? Whatever will be, will be..." I take things as they come. Don't get me wrong, I love to make plans. However, the difference between now and then is that I won't feel distraught if my plans don't execute as planned.
Believe me, this makes a great difference in the way you look at and relate to life. Why stress?
Save the drama for your momma!

Besos a todos! I was quite busy today at work. After leaving the office, I went to the mall on a mission: to buy myself a pair of phat sunglasses, then stop by The Body Shoppe and exchange a facial cleanser. Now, I'm home, just ate and am ready to beautify my hair. Thank God tomorrow is Friday!
My quote of the day:
Better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Accompanying song clip: Dionne Warwick's Walk On By.
Ahh, yet another day goes by. I crave a day spa Royal treatment. Funny thing, there's one about 5 minutes from the office, and somehow I yet haven't walked inside to get a price list.
Got Paid today!!!!
Now on to holding on...
Why do we tend to hold on to things that are not necessarily beneficial to us? Is it because we enjoy pain or just the drama that surrounds it? Could it be that this is an issue that only the forgive and forget types endure?
Memories, memories, memories.
Some of us hang on to these like hanging on to dear life. Some of us are haunted by beautiful fragments stored in our memory from ill-fated relationships. Yes, those times when one was the happiest, and then the unhappiest. So, how does one rid him/herself of such?
I think there comes a time when one must clean house from the old ones and replace these with the new, or simply practice selective memory.

Another day goes by. Work has kept me busy these past couple of days, but tomorrow is payday. YES! There's no better way to start a day than to know a monetary compensation is headed your way.
Yesterday, the hours dragged on at work, but today, they went by fairly quickly. Thank God! ---Question: If the money is great, could I have a justifiable reason to complain about the snailing hours at the office? Which further brings me to: Is it possible to be happily dissatisfied? I am beginning to think that it is absolutely possible.
I believe it emerges from the formula for conformity. First you have a date between immediate need and settlement. Then you have the matrimony of such, which then produces conformity, which translates into happy dissatisfaction. ---The key variable for this formula is settlement. One must settle for something or someone, which no longer meets our needs, in order to achieve happy dissatisfaction. And, although some of us break free from conformity, others are not so lucky. Conformity produces a downward spiral on self-worth.
People apply conformity to: a situation that no longer appeals to them, is no longer needed, is a no-brainer in level of difficulty, or because of lack of self-worth. Since conformity doesn't provide satisfaction, an individual must desensitize his usual urge for satisfaction, and strain it down to a bare minimum. Therefore, settling for less than what (s)he deserves or had aspired, and still manage to be happy --happily dissatisfied.
Now, all is not lost for people, who currently live happily dissatisfied. Some do manage to break away from its crippling effect sooner or later, after months, years, decades, or scores. It all depends on their strength within.
