Ramblings in Spanish...

Peace!

Happy Wednesday!
Is it on Wednesdays, when it is called Hump day? What do they mean by that? Hmmm?

I had an excellent night, last night, GREAT/INVIGORATING cardiovascular exercising! I better cram-in a lot more now, before time runs out (departure date arrivng). Hence forth, inactivity will soon set-in.

So what have you all been up to? Can you believe it's the middle of the week already?
Time is certainly flying right past us!
Have you enjoyed your summer of 2002?

Got plans for tonight? Where?
By the way, radio station 91.3 FM plays world music on Friday evenings, such as Brazilian, Morocan, Italian, etc. Tune in, these are AWESOME beats, sure to kick start your Friday nights.
Peace!

Sunday night ALREADY?!!!!

This weekend simply flew by, in my opinion.
Okay, so Saturday night, I finally saw the movie XXX courtesy of The Fish Who... And yes, I could have sworn I'd watch it, this past Thursday night, but anyways "why cry over spilled milk!" I'm glad last night, I went with an awesome group of friends. They're the ABSOLUTE BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The movie was EVERYTHING, I expected it to be. WOW!!!!!
We all grabbed dinner at Wendy's. Thank God for their late night pick-up window : ))

By the way, did I tell you guys, that I am decorating my bedroon in a galactic motif? YES! I am. AND no, I haven't gone nuts!
It looks pretty cute. So far, I have decorated the wall closest to my bed with glow in the dark stars of all sizes. Believe me folks, it looks pretty neat!!! I assure you.

Early morning today, I went power walking at the reservoir. I went around in 40 minutes, and boy my legs were feeling it afterwards! After that, I got home and began to get ready to go to Sunday mass at St. Joseph's cathedral, but my friends & I got the schedule confused, and unfortunately missed the service. So, what else for us to do on a Sunday afternoon? MALL!
We ventured to the Buckland Hills Mall. AND basically, we spent the entire afternoon there until their closing time. We had a great time and laughed a lot at each other's crazy clown acts. Definitely, a blast! Plus we already made plans for Wednesday night in downtown Hartford, and Saturday night at Vado's : )) Yay!!!

All right, I hope you all have a stupendous week!

Hi! What's up?

Que noche pesima! = Foul night, last night! Porque esta mala suerte? UGH!!! Es que acaso yo no tengo sentimientos que pudiesen ser heridos? :-{
What a royal flop!!! I'm totally beside myself, in disbelief. Last night, was the night that just never happened. I thought it would, at least when I left in my car, it felt like I was off to a good start, but when I arrived at the destination, SURPRISE! Ooh, what awaited me there!!! What a joke! Nada! Otra noche de desilucion. Que tonta e ingenua soy!
I am able to post now because my blood pressure has finally dropped down to normal levels. Currently, I'm listening to the radio station, 89.9 FM. Every Friday, from 12:00-1:00 a.m. the station plays Latin music. Ahh, it is sooo comforting, at this moment. They are playing some good boleros by Charlie Zaa, some salsa by La Sonora Ponceña, and much more by other great artists and bands. Gosh, I need to take a short trip to Puerto Rico. I haven't visited the island since spring time of 1997.

Anyhow, last night's mishap could easily be summarized into one word, "inconsideration." Oh, I'm sorry folks, I got ahead of myself, when I said one word because i just thought of another one, "selfishness." Oops, I just thought of yet another one. Geez, what is up with me? I guess, I'm on a roll now. The other word is "egotism."
Okay, you guys get the picture by now, right! But how come, I'm the only one, who gets into these foul situations? Damn! I never hear anyone else relating such type of incidents. ~~~I must be doing something EXTREMELY wrong. AND unless I correct myself, I will continue finding myself in these foul nights. UGH!! Whatever!!!!

Folks, the $1 fare promotion by National Airlines has sold out : (

Right now, my NYC trip on Saturday is questionable. I guess, I will know either Friday night or Saturday morning, if I will indeed visit New York city or not. I'm still recruiting people for this trip. But you guys have to let me know. ~~~Right now, I'm feeling that I will end up in the city on Saturday, after all. I just can't conceive passing up the opportunity of feasting on hot dogs with saurkraut, italian icees, and NY pizza. Ooh, my mouth waters just from the thought. Mmmm!

I am in the process of booking a flight to Florida. I should resolve that no later than this afternoon. I might leave as early as August 29th. I will be there for at least one week, but no more than a week and a half. Gosh, I miss my Baby Jay/Pumpkin Pie! I'm sure, he will be so happy to see me again. I talk to him ever so often, over the phone. He is the cutest, cuddliest, kindest, sweetest, and most lovable cat that anyone could possibly wish to own. I hope to eventually have him live with me up here in CT : )

Okay! I'm ready for my power walking evening today. I don't know yet, who, if anyone, will be my power walking buddy. Regardless, I will exercise later on today.
AND hopefully, tonight, I will have a fabulous night, that will make-up for Thursday night's floppity flop! Let's see what comes up for tonight. As of yet, I don't know what I'll be doing nor where I'll be going. But I'm hopeful : ))

I had a GREAT power walk yesterday evening! My walk buddy & I made it all around the reservoir trail in 45 minutes!!!! Cool : ))
I want to thank my substitute walk buddy for coming through for me yesterday. You see, I almost went solo, and that's not always fun. Thanks dude!

Okay, weekend in NYC is almost here!!! Are all of you ready???

Hi y'all!

What's going on so far this week?
Monday, I went walking at the reservoir again. I almost ended up going alone, had it not been for sista friend, who was up for the cardiovascular exercise.~~Thanks girl!
Yesterday, my body woke up feeling superb! I had no discomforts whatsoever. I guess my body has already gotten used to the power walking. --That was quick!! : ))
Technically today already, I will go back and do my power walk. I just don't know, if I will go early a.m. or wait 'til someone gets out of work, in order to have some company. I have to run some errands tomorrow morning too. Hmm?

Okay, anyone up for a NYC weekend this coming weekend? PARTY! PARTY! PARTY!!!!!
I will be going down to Manhattan on Saturday with friends and we are staying overnight at a hotel. If any of you are interested in coming along, get a hold of me, okay!!!!!
I BELIEVE IT WAS ABOUT TIME FOR ANOTHER NYC PARTY WEEKEND! Don't you agree???????
: ))

Anyone up for a Las Vegas weekend sometime in October????? Right now, R/T fares from Bradley to LAS goes for $138. The hotels there range from extremely economical in the North end of Las Vegas Blvd. and off of the Blvd. (a.k.a. The Strip). Then you have ALL your other price ranges from the middle to the South end of the Strip. People, there's LOTS OF FUN to be had during a weekend in Vegas. I GUARANTEE IT!!!!!!!!!!
Contact me if you're interested in this trip : )

By the way, check this out, "$1 Fares for Travel on Sep. 11, 2002." I found it last night while surfing through Travelocity's website.

Hello people!

Oh, oh, it is Sunday night already!!!!!!!!!! Are you guys ready for the hustle & bustle of the new week to come?

WHAT A WEEKEND!! I am totally dead today. Yes, I certainly am. Since Friday night, I've been out of my place more than in it. It feels like I've been out of the house since Friday night (10 p.m.) and just returned today (4 a.m.). TODAY, MORE THAN EVER, IS THE DAY WHEN I'M IN MOST NEED OF A FULL BODY OIL MASSAGE. ~~HELP!!!!!!

Friday, I ran several errands, and washed a lot of clothes. Friday night, was movie night in Hartford with a new friend. Saturday morning, I went walking at the West Hartford reservoir...YES, walking! You see, I initially attempted to jog it, but once I gave it a shot, reality quickly set in. "No way, I am not conditioned to jog 3.1 miles!"
Anyhow, I power-walked it instead, and today, I'm really feeling ALL of the residual effects on my gluts and legs. I'm not in pain though, just slight discomfort.
I thought, that I'd go back there today in the early morning, but who was I kidding? I didn't get to bed until about 4:30 a.m. All right, so Saturday afternoon, I spent it up in Boston with friends. I had a great time being lost within the Bostonian streets. It set the stage for a fantastic drive-by tour. Then Saturday night, I was the designated driver for some other friends at an expected wild house party, the 3rd annual Slip & Slide party at the House of Filth. The party was a blast! A LOT OF WILD & CRAZY THINGS TO BE SEEN!! And of course, this always happens once the crowd thins out. Folks, the party was great!!! For those of you who missed it, there was even lap dancing to be seen, among other stuff. WoW!
Too bad, that this was the very last party held at the infamous House of Filth. Why? Because the tenants (all or some) are moving to a new location in downtown Hartford. Anyhow, I know that there will surely be a Halloween party occurring at the new location...you see, it's already a tradition.
I can't wait!!
I also learned last night about a pre-Halloween party, that may occur a week prior to that other one. Cool, 2 events scheduled for October already!!! I need to start brainstorming what costumes will I wear for these parties. So far, a dominatrix outfit popped into my head as a choice. Hmmm, I don't know???? ; )

It feels awesome to be able to interact with so many people. I have never met as many people, as I've met in the 2 months I've been here in CT. In some instances, I've gotten party invites prior to local folks receiving theirs. Perhaps being a girl, does have it's perks!
: ))

Okay now, on another subject...why is it that Nice/Good people seem to ALWAYS end-up with mates, who will take them for granted??? : (
Being taken for granted is not gender specific, it can happen to males as well as females. All you need to be, in my opinion is good-hearted, trustworthy, honest, and reliable, to be a target for being taken for granted. Doesn't that suck??? I thought that the aforementioned qualities in an individual, would be highly regarded and sought after by most people, but that's not the usual case.
Most of the time, Nice/Good people, end up getting involved with those, who will take them for granted, those who do not appreciate the good thing they have found, those who will take, take, and take, but hardly give anything in return. Now, that's a damn shame!!! Why does humanity play such cruel jokes? Do you realize that only after an individual has been severely jaded a couple of times, that is when they are most likely prone to do onto someone, that ill, which has been done onto them??? I don't understand why some people feel the need to seek vengeance relationship-wise with an innocent bystander (new mate)? I mean, when speaking of vengeance/settling the score, wouldn't it make more sense to get back together with the person, who did you wrong, in order to get even with them? ~~~Now, don't get me wrong here. I'm not encouraging in any way, the act of vengeance because that is negative energy you should refrain from harbouring. After all, life should be lived to the fullest/happiest capacity!
Unfortunately, many people fall into the corrupting thought of, "I'm not going to be "the vulnerable one" in a relationship anymore." This type of mentality is destructive to any new, GOOD, bonafide relationship because in order to really feel the new love flowing into your life, you must allow yourself to be vulnerable to the experience. NO FEARS! JUST FAITH AND TRUST! So what, if you get hurt again!!??!! That which doesn't kill you, will only make you stronger and wiser!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'RE AN ADULT NOW, BITE THE BULLET!

Okay, this enough for tonight. I am going to cook dinner now. Tomorrow morning, I am driving back to the reservoir to do my power-walking. My plan is to visit it every other day : )) This routine shall be lots of FUN!
Gosh, I need to get to the Body Shop store to buy a bottle of scented massage oil. I hope I get to do this sometime no later than this week. By the way, I also need to buy a tub of Mango Body Butter...it smells good enough to eat, but wouldn't it be great if it was finger-licking good too!!??!! Mmmm ; )

Good Morning!

Isn't it great? The weekend is once again almost upon us. Damn, time is really flying and next thing I know, Mr. Winter will be here.
Yesterday's interview went off without a hitch. Yay! I ran a couple of errands afterwards, and got a bit lost in downtown Hartford, simply from trying to find an on-ramp for 84 East. I also pampered my hair early in the morning, and now it is happy, looks nice and feels silky.
I need to go to the bank today. Oh by the way, did I mention that yesterday was my 2nd monthaversary of having had moved to CT. Happy monthaversary to me!! Also, I went to Manchester last night and hung out there for a little while, and was home by 11:30 p.m. I did enjoy myself.

I'm 13 minutes over my peak cell phone plan minutes. How did that happen??? I've been keeping track of them for the past couple of days. Ugh!!!

I have clothes to wash today, perhaps after I return from the bank.

Happy Tuesday!

How have all of you been?
I had an enjoyable outing on Saturday night in Hartford. I had dinner, movie and some goodies. All very delicious and the movie was good as well. Heck, I didn't get home until around 10 a.m, the following day. I also received a burned CD, it was a compilation of songs I enjoy very much. I've been listening to it everyday, several times per day, ever since : ) Hats off to the creator/supplier & gracious host!
Sunday, I was up bright and early. You know...early bird catches the first worm! : )) Yeap, I was up and about, running errands most of the day. I had fun doing that as well because it included shopping along my sista girly girl.
Monday's interview went well. I believe I had both of my interviewers eating out of my hands. Why 2 interviewers? I don't know. It was a bit nerve recking though! So Monday afternoon was edgy. I had been tense about the interview, and my tension carried on throughout my lunch at Ruby Tuesday's, where I indulged in their Strawberry Tall Cake, in an attempt to take the edge off, but served to no avail---my sincere apologies to my lunch companion. Wow! What a tense afternoon I had! I was running on pure adrenaline. I felt so many emotions that afternoon and had to keep them all in check. Honestly, I believe I did a great job at it. I know that nobody was able to notice how I really felt.---I guess this is a good thing...you know...NEVER let them see you sweat!

Today, I have a slight headache. I believe it is my first headache since moving to CT. I could sure use a nice oily full body massage, right now.
Tomorrow, I have another interview in the afternoon, then plan to go to Sam's Warehouse to pick up some photos, PW(EH) to visit and stop at the nearby bank, and Sally's Beauty Supply to return an item.

Hey everyone!

Okay, so July is over and done with. It simply flew on by, but it was quite an eventful month:
My sister got married for a third time.
My cousin from NYC gave birth to her first child, a baby girl.
My parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.
By the way, Happy Birthday to all of the July birthday people!

Indeed I went out in the afternoon yesterday with sista friend. We hung out at the mall. I exhibited major will power, whenever we walked by a tentalizing clothing store. I only bought some antibacterial hand soap (Sun-Ripened Raspberry) and room deoderizer (Sweet Pea) from Bath & Body Works. Yum! These smell SO DELICIOUS!
There's a funny pattern developing every time sista friend and I meet. What pattern? Rain storms!!!! Yes, every time we hang out together, a rain storm rolls on in. Could it be because we're both ex-Floridians? Regardless of the rains, I always have a great time hanging out with sista friend. You rock!

I need to make it out to the store today. Definitely!
Peace.

Happy Friday!!!

How's everyone doing?
I'm doing well. Wednesday began slow and mellow, but as the day transgressed, things began to look up. At 5 p.m., I ate a large bowl of Honey Nut Cherrios with a mound of extra sugar to make it perfect. Yes! I was planning to re-enact Beavis' Cornholio character, later on that night.
Anyhow, I went out with some friends, met new people, ate at Chilli's, watched some DVD movies: Ocean's Eleven and Down to Earth, and talked all night long. Geez, I didn't get home until 9:10 a.m. the next day.
Yesterday, I slept most of the day, in order to recuperate. I received an offer to go to downtown and checkout the live bands, but I didn't think I was ready to endure another late night out, so I passed.
Today, I don't know what the hands of time will bring. I guess I'll know later on, in the day. But, I might meet up with my new sista friend this afternoon.
By the way, so far, I have 2 job interviews scheduled for next week. Yippy!!! Hopefully, soon I'll be gainfully employed.
Okay people, I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!
