Hello people!
Hope you are doing well.

Last night was a strenuous cleaning day, here at home. I'm a stickler for cleanliness--what can I say. Afterwards, I found myself digging further into my memory chest. Wow! I guess I'm on a roll here. But I'm not complaining, I had a very nice night. I spent about 4½ hours on the phone with a blast from my past. It was all good!

So scary!
I was showering at 4 a.m. today, when there was a blackout.
I had just placed soap on my face, then everything was absolutely black. I got so scared and didn't know, what to expect next--for all I knew, someone could have purposefully shut off the electricity to the bathroom. So, I held the shower door closed with one hand, and rinsed the soap off my face with the other. --I couldn't believe it! I was experiencing my first blackout since moving up here.

FL bound...
Yes, come September, I'm planning to fly down to Orlando to pick up some of my winter clothes prior to winter's arrival. I will depart without luggage, then return with two suitcases full of winter apparel. My itinerary for my O-town visit is quickly filling up. There's a lot of people awaiting to see me once I'm back down there. I am looking forward to meeting up with all of them as well. It will be great!!

Gosh, I need to go to the store. I wonder if I will go tonight? I need to visit Sam's Warehouse, a supermarket, and a Walmart. Is it supposed to rain tonight?

Okay, I'm starving now. Peace!

Happy Monday!!!

How are ALL of you doing? I hope your weekend was great!
I spent my weekend job hunting and hair beautifying : ) Now, I'm ready for whatever this week has in-store for me, and my hair is ecstatic from all of the attention I gave it over the weekend. I believe that I'm now ready for a Pantene or Finesse TV commercial. "Close up, please!" : ))
Last night or more like this morning, I went to bed at 3:30 a.m., which explains why I just woke up before 8:30 a.m. It seems very clear now, that my body has already accustomed to sleeping 5 hours. As Mr. Bill from oldies SNL would say, "Oh, Noooooooo!"

Did I tell you guys, how on Friday night, I ventured out to East Hartford to visit a Sally Beauty Supply store? Anyhow, I mapped the location prior to heading out; however, I somehow missed the exit needed to end up on Main Street. Instead, I ended getting off at the Pratt Whitney exit, then hopped onto Silver Lane, to then take Main Street. Holy Guacamole!!! These roads are crazy up here!! All right, so once I was on Main Street, I found the store just fine, except it felf as if I was almost reaching the neighboring town north of E. Hartford. I was so happy to finally go make my biannual purchase at Sally's : ) Okay, so when I stepped out of the store it was already dark. I thought I would find my way back on to 84W easily, but that was not the case. ---I should have known that nothing is easy, when it comes to greater Hartford roads and highways! Folks, I got lost! I remained on Main Street hoping to find an on-ramp to the highway, but it was dark, the signs are blurred, and I just didn't see the on-ramp I sought. I ended up passing a Coca Cola distribution establishment. I continued driving and still no sights for hope at all. I finally pulled into a Dairy Queen franchise. I parked and read the map to find my way back home. I noticed how I'd been driving myself farther south from the main highways, so I chucked the map, and decided to get back onto Main Street and head north. Eureka!!!!! After drivng 1-2 miles back in the direction I'd been coming from, I finally was able to read a terribly blurry sign indicating 84W. Ahhhh, I was sooo relieved!!!!!!!! Home sweet home, I was on my way back!!! What a dilemma! I better learn these road before it begins to snow : ))

If destiny comes knocking at your door, will you welcome it in, or be afraid/shy away/ignore it (show no faith), by closing the door on it? Do coincidences exist? Are you ready to come face to face with YOUR destiny?

Okay folks, I am hungry right now, so I will let you go. I hope your day goes well! Peace!

Hi Folks!

Interesting week I had. I don't know why, but it was a little crazy.
Old friends and ex's started popping out of the memory chest and into actuality. Quite mind boggling!

On another note, I've been spending endless hours online. My personal schedule at the moment will place me under the nocturnal category. I mean, I'm eating dinner right before sunrise, eating breakfast in the afternoon, and skipping lunch which would only fit into the evening time. I am seriously depriving myself of Zzzzzz. For example, if I go to sleep at 5 a.m., then I'll wake up at 10:30 a.m. and get online. Then routinely, I will remain online until 4-4:30 a.m. the next morning. ----How long will I be able to keep this up???

Okay, so what's this I hear about the Dave Matthews' concert not being up to popular expectation? I understand, that people began to leave before the concert was over. Holy Guacamole!!! AND to top it all off, I was informed that the band didn't perform the song, "The Space Between." What was that about???? Hell, I'm disappointed and I wasn't even at the concert!!!

August is almost upon us. So far, it looks like it will be a month, full of activities. Woo Hoo! When the time comes, then it'll just be a matter of picking and choosing what to do ; )

I continue my job search with lots of faith in finding something prior to winter's arrival. I FEAR NOT, I WORRY NOT! FAITH IS MY ROCK!!!!

Hello everyone!

I'm in mellow out mode. Tonight's weather sucks, and tomorrow is expected to be the same. Yuk!
Is it me, or has anyone else noticed the month of July sweeping by us. Geez, summer is almost over!

Happy Sunday!

How are all of you feeling today?
I had a great time on Friday. During the afternoon, I hung out with sista friend in West Hartford. Sista friend can make some finger-licking good roasted pork sandwich meat. Yum!! Then in the evening time, I hung out in Manchester, where I had some awesome tasting grilled Baby Back Ribs and some sweet Italian Sausages for dinner, then after midnight, I hung out in West Hartford, where I experienced a beautiful mini piano concerto. I got home a little after 3 a.m. Then Saturday, I went to the Weezer concert at the Meadow Music Center, then headed to a house party in downtown Hartford. The concert was great. I can't believe that I've already experienced my first concert in CT. Hell, this was my first concert in SO MANY years. I think it be safe to say, about 10 years! I saw the performances of Dashboard Confessional, who opened for Weezer. This band ROCKS! I actually enjoyed their music much more than Weezer's.
Okay, so all and all, I didn't get home until a little after 5 a.m. Ooh, and what a crazy house party I witnessed!!! People began to re-enact Nelly's Hot in Herre song!!!! Yikes!!!! Things got REALLY hot, REALLY quick! Holy Guacamole!!!!
I definitely had a true blast just observing everything that was going on. Note: When half of the people at a party leave, that's when the party begins to get better. Why? Because the people who never see a party through its finale, embody completely or partly the mellow crowd; whereas, the people who remain until the very end are the party animals. You know, the ones who can't get enough!!!!! I'm one of those and PROUD of it!! : )
Gosh, I danced so much last night. Definitely achieved a good workout from it.

Question: Do ALL men in CT have dirty dancing skills down to an art, or is it only the men from the Greater Hartford area????
I was beside myself last night at ALL of these dirty dancing aficionados. What's up with that?? : ) Was the Dirty Dancing movie, that popular up here, back in those good old 80's? I mean, last night guys had girls dancing up on their thigh, and guiding them well by holding on tightly to their asses. It reminded me of the Lambada dance from Brazil except there's no ass grabbing involved in it. I also recalled La Quebradita, a Mexican dance, but then again, such dance does not require the female's ass to be held either.
Folks, I'm telling you, the party became extremely interesting once the mellowers exited. Keep this in mind, the next time you go to a party and want to leave prior to its conclusion ; )

Happy Thursday everyone!

Sorry to break my daily postings roll. I knew it was to happen sooner or later : (
Anyhow, I'm writing today. I hope all of you are doing well! The weekend is almost here, are you excited?

My updates:
Tuesday, July 9, I was on 91S and for a brief moment thought that the northeast was about to cease to exist.
Sunday, July 14, I received a very nice tour of downtown Hartford, and ate dinner at Hot Tomatoes. A lot was going down in Hartford that night. It seems there was some hip hop concert in the civic center and a couple of clubs had infective hip hop music pumping out of their walls. Quite a lively environment that night.
This week has been interesting and calm so far. I do go hang out for a couple of hours here or there, but definitely not a nightly thing.

Oh my...
I caught the naked reflection of my landlord on the kitchen sliding doors!!!! He obviously sleeps in the nude because he simply turned the hall light on, then began to make his way towards the kitchen. Do you know what drove him out of his room at 11: 45 p.m.?
Well, he was looking for a sales receipt!!!! Anyhow, when I saw him making his way closer and closer to the kitchen where I was, I immediately decided to start singing out loud, so that he'd know it was me in there. Thank God, he heard me, then returned to his room to put on a pair of boxer shorts.
Gosh, was that close!!!!!

People, I've been spending too many hours in front of the computer just about everyday. My upper back is screaming for a soothing, slick oil massage. Oooh!
Okay, that's all folks!

Good evening, readers!

This evening, I learned a fabulous news...My great pal, University of Central Florida graduate, former member of the International Student Association, and who is now a professor of Information Science Technology at Penn State University will soon be in town! I am so excited for I haven't seen him in a couple of years. The news has made my night because he simply is a great person to know.
Yippy!

Hi y'all! What's up?

How was your Friday night? Mine...? Oh hell, it was a big mess, for everything that I envisioned about the evening never transgressed accordingly. I guess this is a great example of why one shouldn't approach things with expectations. Idiot me, built up the event in my mind to such grandeur, that soon enough I felt the gargantuan deluge of mountain water rushing down my head, as I instantaneously met Major Let Down.
Now, believe when I say, I stopped expecting things a long time ago, instead, I just go with the flow. Why? Because it is safer that way. You eliminate the chances for disappointment in your life. Ladies & Gentlemen, this is also all about things you cannot control. You cannot get mad at such things, only disappointed. I mean, why would you bother to get mad when the situation, scenario or circumstance was out of your hands to begin with. And even if it was in your hands, that would NEVER guarantee that its outcome would be favorable or perfect. We must learn to not give any importance to things we cannot control. ---You live life much happier when you let go of the steering wheel. I cannot stress that enough!!!!
However and obviously, things like what I experienced last night, happen when you let your guard down and allow expectations to creep into and cloud your mind. Oh well, lesson learned!

I wanted to head to a different place last night after the flop, however I was so bummed out, I thought it be best to go home. Besides, I didn't think I'd be good company to anyone at that moment, but then again, I'll never know because I didn't give myself a second chance at making Friday a real enjoyable night.

Okay people, today is Saturday. Let's go CRAZY and have LOTS of FUN!!!! God Bless : )

Buenas a todos! Como se encuentran?

Today was a beautiful day! I ate dinner at Luna Pizza--it REALLY is a good pizza place. Thanks, The Fish Who... for introducing me to this eatery!!!
Tonight was dinner and a movie night. I was well accompanied by two cool guys: a friend and a brand new acquaintance from CA.
Folks, please allow me the pleasure to introduce to you...drum roll please...Taylor! : )) Yes, please give a warm shout out to Taylor, who is just about loving ALL of this publicity. ---Hey, Taylor, did you think I was kidding about posting your name? LOL!!!

All right, these past couple of days I haven't seen any pesky insects in my room. Thank God!
Now, on a healthy note, I've been drinking about 64 fl.oz. of H2O per day for the past couple of days. Yippy!
My landlord came back from his Israel vacation on Sunday. He brought me a Jeannie bottle. Oh yeah! Now, I will be like Christina Aguilera's Jeannie in a Bottle song. Yes, indeed, "if you want to be with me...you got to rub me the right way." ; ))

Ooh, I'm hankering for, and believe will reward myself with:
1-Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip cookie
1-ice cream sandwich
1-Ensure nutritional drink
1-glass of water

These seem to me like a great midnight snack pack! Ooh, I can't wait, my mouth is already watering. Okay people, I must satisfy my craving now. Sweet dreams!

Greetings and happy belated 4th of July 2002!

Last night, I SAW fireworks in Hartford! Wow!
Friday night, I went out for dinner in the Rocky Hill proximity and had great conversation. I didn't get home until around 4 a.m. Geez, I can talk forever!!! I also received a burned CD of the Linkin Park Hybrid Theory album. Thanks dude!

I've attended two cook-outs this week. I saw the Farmington River up close and felt the cool, refreshing, flowing waters. It was beautiful.

Also this week, I've been lucky enough to meet many nice, agreeable, humorous, FUN people. My personal phone book is growing like weeds! Not with just anybody's name, but QUALITY people's names.

I wish to thank everyone who made the end of my week such a pleasant, thrill-filled week. You guys RULE!

Today, officially marks my first monthaversary of living here in CT. Happy Monthaversary to ME!!!
Frankly, I haven't experienced yet a dull moment. I love it here, and I don't forsee myself cowarding away as soon as "old man winter" sweeps in. I owe my flawless transition to my eagerness and motivation to live in the northeast, but especially to my "Sista Girly Girl" for her support and who happens to just about know and is also adored by everyone in the planet. ----Peace, Girl! You're D' Bomb!!!

Okay, take care y'all. 'Til the next post : ))
